Rev. Fr Dr Renny Thomas

Fr Dr Renny Thomas received his PhD in Social Work from Pondicherry Central University, India, in February 2023. His academic journey also includes (i) an M.Phil. in Counselling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University, Meghalaya, (ii) Master of Social Work in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, (iii) Bachelor of Divinity (B.D) from Senate of Serampore College (University), Kolkata and (iv) Bachelor of Science in Electronics from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat. He served as the Secretary of the Baselios Counselling Centre, Director of the Media Wing, and Co-ordinator of the Ministry of Human Empowerment at the Diocese of Chengannur. His teaching experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor and HOD in the Department of Social Work as well as Principal-in-charge of St. Gregorios College of Social Science, Parumala, Kerala. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor (MSW Program) at Inter-University Centre for Disability Studies (IUCDS), Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.
